How to Go from Dark Hair to Light

It’s normal to want to change your hair colour especially when we see stars like Rihanna change her hair every second day. The most important thing to keep in mind when changing your hair colour drastically, is to do so in a healthy way. Going blond may be the toughest colour to switch to when your hair is naturally dark. Also, if you want to go blonde, it’s going to take time and money. The best way to do so is to save up your money and go to a professional at a salon. For those of you that are one of the reckless few and want to try this yourself, here are some steps to help guide you. 1. If you have hair that has been dyed in the past or your hair is simply not at its healthiest, you will want to complete a deep conditioner first. You can turn any old drug store conditioner into a hair treatment. (Tip: add a teaspoon full of olive oil if your hair is particularly dry or prone to flyaway) Once you have shampoo’d your hair, comb out and towel dry. Then, grab your conditioner and saturate your hair to your satisfaction. Wrap with plastic wrap and leave on for 15 min, then  rinse. 2. This is the step where you start to go blond.
